Caroline Su
Co-President
Caroline is a junior at McLean High School with a passion for writing and music. She believes that mental health is a vital yet often overlooked aspect of life. Inspired by the toll mental health struggles can have on individuals, she is motivated to lead Hopeful Minds Outreach to promote awareness and healing. As a pianist, Caroline has witnessed firsthand the powerful emotional impact of music, and she hopes to use her skills to make a positive difference in people's lives.

Felix Xu
Co-president
Felix is a junior at Langley High School. His passion for mental health advocacy comes from a deep belief that everyone deserves access to support, understanding, and hope from the community. Through performing, tutoring, and fundraising, he strives to create a positive environment where people can find healing through music. He has seen how sharing music can lift spirits, reduce stress, and create hope for those facing mental health challenges, and leading this organization allows him to turn his passion for music into a meaningful way to support others.

Lillian Su
Vice President
Lillian is a junior at Langley High School with a passion for biology and visual art. She has been drawing since she was four and studied under various teachers. Lillian was inspired to become part of Hopeful Minds Outreach because of the mental health issues she has personally experienced or seen in those close to her. She believes that nobody should go through mental health struggles by themselves. Every time her mental state has struggled, drawing has always acted as a mediator in healing her, and she is able to convey her emotions into her artwork. She hopes to positively impact people in the same way through the small things in life.

Ryan Guo
Chief Technology Officer
Ryan Guo is a junior at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Virginia. He is a dedicated Kung Fu practitioner who has been a member of the USA Kung Fu Team since 2023. He is passionate about sharing the joy and discipline of Kung Fu with his community. In addition, Ryan has a deep love for math, coding, reading, running, and spending time with his dog. With a strong desire to make a positive impact, Ryan hopes to leverage his skills and passion to inspire and uplift his community.

Jason Pan
Vice President
Jason is a junior at Langley High School with passion for critical thinking, music, and tennis. To him, mental health is an essential part of health but is often overlooked in our society. He has seen many of his peers’ struggle with mental health. Jason believes that music and physical activities are great ways to help reduce stress and stay healthy and resilient. As a leader and member of Hopeful Minds Outreach, Jason is passionate and committed in helping others to have a positive mindset and thrive.

William Wu
VP of Impact & Engagement
William is a junio at the St. Albans School with a passion for piano, problem solving, reading, swimming, and enjoying nature. Inspired to join Hopeful Minds Outreach, William understands firsthand how the pressures of our information age can affect mental health. He is committed to making a difference by supporting others however he can. When facing his own challenges, he often turns to the piano to find clarity and peace. Through Hopeful Minds Outreach, William hopes to bring the healing power of live music to others, believing that music can offer comfort and connection to those who need it most.

Jenny Wang
Outreach Director
Jenny Huang is a junior at Madison High School. She is passionate about business, studies in the STEM area, and dance. Jenny was inspired to be in Hopeful Minds Outreach to help people in her community with mental health through the arts. She believes mental health is just as important as physical health, and dance and music are great benefits to stay healthy. Dance and music has been able to help Jenny throughout her life, so she hopes she can radiate the same energy when performing to others. Jenny hopes to have a positive impact on others and inspire her community through her passions.

Anna Wang
Secretary
Anna Wang is a junior at McLean High School. Her deep commitment to mental health advocacy stems from her belief that emotional well-being should be approached with openness and accessible support. Music has always been a way for her to process emotions when life feels overwhelming. Because of this, she is passionate about ensuring that music remains a universal outlet and that anyone can turn to it for comfort, connection, and healing. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new music and is always ready to spend time with friends.

Eric Li
Vice President
Eric is a junior at McLean High School with a passion for STEM, music, and soccer. As a piano performer, Eric has both witnessed and experienced the instrumental role music plays in improving mental health and strives to leverage his skills to spread the positive impact of music to others. Through his work at Hopeful Minds Outreach, Eric hopes to inspire more individuals to find joy through creative expression and help develop a community built on compassion, creativity, and mutual support.
